Summer Reading Suggestions

I belong to the best book club in the world (in my very humble opinion)!! Three things make it great.   1. Our club is hosted by the same wonderful woman each time we meet and she makes us a fabulous dinner every time we get together;   2. One of our club members owns Churchill's Fine Gourmet Gifts and each time we meet she brings incredibly decadent sweet treats; and   3. Our meetings are "facilitated" by the fabulous Nina McCreath one of the former proprietors of The Flying Dragon book store (where we previously had the privilege of meeting). An Inspiring Journey!!

I met Michelle Shemilt a couple of years ago when she invited me to speak at a Women in Capital Markets event. As these things happen, we have kept in touch ever since and for most of this time Michelle has been on a journey, in terms of her work life and career.   Michelle submitted the story of her journey to leanin.org in the hopes it would be posted. Many months ago when I was getting close to publishing my book Babes on Bay Street, a good friend suggested I could expect to be invited to speak about it when it was published and I might want to consider hiring a speaking coach to help me in this area.
