George Saunders is a New York times bestselling American writer of short stories, essays, novellas and children's books. He delivered the convocation speech at Syracuse University for the class of 2013 which was published in its entirety in the New York Times on July 31, 2013. They felt the entire speech was well worth reading and I agree. You can find it by following the link below:   http://6thfloor.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/07/31/george-saunderss-advice-to-graduates/?_r=0   I hope you enjoy it!! In fact, I wrote about it in my last post.   A friend suggested I watch her interview on 60 Minutes a couple of days before her book was released; I thought it was great!!   Just in case you missed it, you can check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n1NAbShwLc   Please let me know what you think. Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg

I read Sheryl Sandberg's new book Lean In yesterday!!   And I loved it!! Every single word of it!!   I believe writing this book and sharing these stories and her thoughts on "Women, Work and the Will to Lead" was a generous and courageous act of leadership on her part!! She definitely had more to lose than gain by doing so and she knew it and wrote the book anyways!!   Congratulations, Sheryl!!   I encourage you to read it and I would love to hear what you think of it!!
