Try to be kinder!!

George Saunders is a New York times bestselling American writer of short stories, essays, novellas and children's books. He delivered the convocation speech at Syracuse University for the class of 2013 which was published in its entirety in the New York Times on July 31, 2013. They felt the entire speech was well worth reading and I agree. Summer Reading Suggestions

I belong to the best book club in the world (in my very humble opinion)!! Three things make it great.   1. Our club is hosted by the same wonderful woman each time we meet and she makes us a fabulous dinner every time we get together;   2. One of our club members owns Churchill's Fine Gourmet Gifts and each time we meet she brings incredibly decadent sweet treats; and   3. Our meetings are "facilitated" by the fabulous Nina McCreath one of the former proprietors of The Flying Dragon book store (where we previously had the privilege of meeting). Sheryl Sandberg on 60 Minutes
