When asked the question "Who would you like to have dinner with, if you could invite anyone to join you?" I said I would love to have dinner with Gloria Steinem. I find her profoundly inspirational!!! I have seen her speak on several occasions and each time she has walked on stage, the largely female adudience has risen to their feet in a spontaneous and prolonged standing ovation. When I first started working, I thought the answer to this question was so obvious it did not merit thinking about. Of course, I wanted to be right! How could I consider myself to have won, if I had not been right/done the right thing etc. And today, I look back and think I was quite naive! In fact, I have come full circle. I can see clearly that winning provides me with the ability to influence/have the impact I want to have. And the more I win, the more influence and impact I have.
