Interview with Peter – Mentors and Sponsors and More Advice!

By Janet Graham - Last updated: Tuesday, March 11, 2014

I asked Peter whether he saw himself as a mentor or sponsor and, if so, how those relationships developed and whether he has mentored/sponsored both men and women. He says: “Yes, yes and yes.  I’m quite passionate about teaching.  I really believe that teaching is one of the highest callings and whatever profession we’re involved in we not only have a duty to teach and mentor the people we work with, we’re the better for it if we do it.  It’s something that I see as extending across a much broader area than simply the juniors we work with in our organization.  It might be younger people in other organizations, in our client organizations; it extends to all the people ...

Bev Morris is the proprietor of Churchill's Fine Gourmet Gifts and so much more!!   I am a member of her book club and so received the note she sent out to her BBC (best book club) friends. I asked for her permission to share it with you and she agreed.   "Happy New Year to my BBC (best book club) friends!   Really looking forward to spring and book discussions. I just turned 65 (yay! senior's discount) and have been reflecting a lot on the last 10 years. I'm sending my thoughts on "taking chances" in the attachment. I have been profoundly surprised at myself. I wish you, all the best, in taking chances whatever they may be."   I have admired Bev Morris ...
