Freddie. Leaders, Networks, Marketing and Differentiation

By - Last updated: Friday, July 17, 2009

I asked Freddie to think of the people she considers to be leaders and the qualities she associates with them and her view of their impact on the world and the people around them. She said her first thought about leaders is that she loves true leaders but hates "politicians". She recalled the president at her company who was born in Britain and brought up in Geneva who now lives in L.A. She said he wanted to make money period and although he was (and is) a ...

Lauren went on to say that this advice is particularly relevant with respect to choices about the people you are going to be working with and in this vein she added be true to yourself. Looking back, she said: "there's a lot of crap out there and I think people... I think of some of the characters I ...

In Erica's opinion, the best advice she was ever given was about having children, specifically, when you have children take the time to bring them up because you have a lot more time than you think you have. In Erica's opinion, we are programmed to think that we only have the years between age 25 and 40 to be successful in our careers but she believes we have much more time than that. And she thinks you can do it all, but you will regret it if you don't take the time with your family when your children are young. She had women come to her to specifically tell her that when she had her first child; they made sure she ...
