I asked Robin to tell me about her proudest accomplishments at work. She said: “My proudest accomplishments in the early days were the designations and titles I received and the sales targets I met.  We used to get little gifts for being the highest producers in the office, that sort of thing, and I won many of those in the early days.  So those were fun, nice, trophy-like rewards. Welcome to Walmart!!

The December issue of the Financial Post Magazine ("FPM") included a great article about the four women who comprise one half of the management team at Walmart Canada. This entity has 85,000 employees and 183 Walmart stores and 146 Supercenters which means by any measure, it's a major Canadian business enterprise.   The women are Shelley Broader CEO, Gale Blank, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Trudy Fahie, CEO and President of Walmart Canada Bank, and Emma Fox, Senior Vice-President of Marketing.  The FPM article tells a little of the story of their lives and how they ended up in their current roles and offers  some comments on leadership, mentorship and sponsorship and includes some great advice from each of them.
