What are your strategies for dealing with lack of time? First of all, I have tried to create a good support system so I have as much time as possible for the important things. I have always had a nanny that I can delegate as much as possible to. In addition, my husband shares all the responsibilities with me. If I get really busy, he can take on more and vice versa. A good friend sent me the link to this talk by Arianna Huffington of the Huffington Post at TEDWomen. (In terms of the meaning of the word GOOP, she says: "It is a nickname... like my name is G.P., so that is really where it came from. And I wanted it to be a word that means nothing and could mean anything.")   I enjoy this newsletter and I think she is courageous for publishing it!!   I received an issue recently which was written in response to one of her readers queries about "finding a good balance between having a career and being a mom."   I thought you might enjoy it whether you are attempting to find this particular balance or not. You can check it out at the link below.   As always, I would love to ...

Made in Dagenham

By - Last updated: Thursday, January 20, 2011

The film Made in Dagenham tells the true story of the 1968 strike by 187 women working as machinists at the Ford  car plant in Dagenham, England. The women fight for equal pay for equal work and played a key part in this battle for women nationally and internationally.   It is an inspiring story of passion, commitment, courage and leadership with great performances by Sally Hawkins as Rita the leader of the group of women and the whole cast including Bob Hoskins and others.   I encourage you to see it!!   Enjoy!!
