I asked Lauren what she considered to be her proudest accomplishments at work. She said they were threefold. The first one was a project in Africa which she described as the most meaningful work she has ever done. I believe her own words allow you to hear the emotion I heard in her voice: “Really. In the course of my summer reading, I was reminded of Adam's Smith concept of Comparative Advantage, "Focus on those things you do better than others." I like it because it is a straightforward strategy which can be applied in the corporate world and to one's personal life eg in the course of setting one's career or life goals and I believe it is one which can be easily overlooked or ignored. Just thought I would share it, in case it provokes some thinking on your part, as it has on mine.
