Made in Dagenham

By Janet Graham - Last updated: Thursday, January 20, 2011

The film Made in Dagenham tells the true story of the 1968 strike by 187 women working as machinists at the Ford  car plant in Dagenham, England. The women fight for equal pay for equal work and played a key part in this battle for women nationally and internationally.   It is an inspiring story of passion, commitment, courage and leadership with great performances by Sally Hawkins as Rita the leader of the group of women and the whole cast including Bob Hoskins and others.   I encourage you to see it!!   Enjoy!!
