What is the level of discomfort in your life?

Kevin Eikenberry in a blog post which he describes as his most read of 2010 encourages his readers to  Get Uncomfortable and offers five reasons to make discomfort your friend.   In brief, these are the five reasons he provides.  Discomfort allows growth, Discomfort builds confidence, Discomfort promotes creativity, Discomfort overcomes resistance to change, Discomfort facilitates goal achievement.

You can read the entire post “Get Uncomfortable! Five Reasons to Make Discomfort Your Friend”on his blog “Leadership & Learning with Kevin Eikenberry” which you can find by following this link . http://blog.kevineikenberry.com/leadership/get-uncomfortable-five-reasons-to-make-discomfort-your-friend/

It is a perfect question to ask ourselves at the beginning of the New Year.  And it is a great follow up question to the one posed in my last post for 2o10. “In your own life, what extraordinary thing will you create that’s irrespressibly, inimitably, audaciously you?”

I would love you to ponder both questions and share your answers in the Comments section below or in the Forums in the Ask Yourself section.

For me the two questions go perfectly together. I want to create something irrepressibly, inimitably, audaciously me. The discomfort comes from the fear I will not do so.
