Run for the Cure
On Sunday, October 4 the Run for the Cure will take place across Canada. I encourage you to participate.
In Toronto, there is nothing like looking north on University Avenue and seeing thousands of people participating in this wonderful event. I am certain it is the same in other cities.
In the early 90′s, I organized a team of 10 captains who agreed to organize teams of 10 to participate in the run. Each team was to raise $10,000. This is how CIBC’s participation in the run began, in the trenches!! What began with a team of 100+ committed people has morhped into a fabulous corporate event!!
It was and is my “proudest” accomplishment in the work place.Â
So, I encourage you to participate in the run. Register yourself, your friends, your family or a team from work. I guarantee you will be glad you did!! I predict you will be moved and proud to have made a contribution to this worthy cause!!
